The 2019 MA8FL schedule was released yesterday, and includes schedules for all 10 teams in the league.
Games start on Sunday, February 24th and every team has a BYE week during Easter. Playoffs start in the first weekend of May.
Each team plays 9 games this year, as the league has gone away from conferences. Playoffs will be determined by the top 8 teams in the league.
Teams merged this season, including the Vipers. The River Valley Vipers merged with the Midwest Hawks to become the Midwest Vipers, and the Sangamon County Seminoles (last season's runner-up) merged with cross-town rival Capital City to become the Sangamon County Outlaws. There is also one new team this season, the Clark County Chiefs.
The Vipers' schedule consists of 5 home games and 4 road games this year. The season starts off in Hannibal, Missouri against the always powerful Falcons. It concludes with a home game against the Peoria Punishers.
The team travels to Hannibal (MO), Springfield (IL), Decatur (IL) and Bloomington (IL) this season. The home portion of the schedule starts off with the defending champion Muscatine RiverHawks coming to town. Home games include Muscatine (IA), Burlington (IA), Effingham County (IL), Clark County (IL) and Peoria (IL). All home games start at 2:00 PM and are played at 616 E Polk St, Cuba, IL 61427.
